so I don't think I will do the mod to my VCI

for $500 I can get a new DDM 4000 & put the innofader I have here in it ...............what do you think about this mixer..????

Check your pm's ;)

I'm all for the Innofader, I have one and love it. I haven't had any experience with the DDM 4000, but it doesn't look all too bad.

I would say for £200 you can't go wrong, mate. You only need an innofader if you're into heavy scratching, though...

The fader on the DDM4000 will be USELESS for scratching, so you'll need an innofader if you plan on doing ang cutting...

"Played" around a bit with this mixer at the last years Musikmesse in Frankfurt, Germany. First of all I want to say that it looks good, but feels cheap. The faders were not tight and all the knobs felt bad while I screw them.
There they used the mixer to control Traktor and what I mentioned was the huge latency(!!!!): I was screwing a know and a lot of time passed by when the software reacted. If you say now that it has been a bad computer all I can say is that it was a macbook without knwoing what has been inside.

wazza, I can recommend that you should test it a lot before you are going to buy this mixer!

Greetings,

Steve

Hey wazz I have the DDM4000 with the Innofader, I have had the DDm for around 12 months never skipped a beat heaps of buttons for MIDI mappings
Volume faders are nice not as nice as say a djm800 but still have a good feel to them, Effects are par with the Djm if not a little better as you have 2 effects banks,
about 6 months ago i did the innofader upgrade i was so pleased as its now a 4 channel scratch mixer with effects,, no one makes such a product that im aware of. Grab one dude,, if your coming down to melbourne any time soon stop in and you can have a go of my'n.
