[DVS7] Turntables connected via Line In and it works...

Hey everybody,

after I sent a message to wazza because of the fa-66 he mentioned that it is possible to mix with turntables connected to the line inputs. I was totally surprised and tried this at once and what can I say: it works
I mixed a lot with this configuration and during the recording of a new mix something strange happened: at half of the track that was on air the track skipped and another one was loaded to the decks and started playing. I stopped all after I realized what happened but I did not find any solution. I can tell you that if you are using the line in as input the waveform will move for- and backward in mixvibes even if the needle is not on the record. There seem to be a lot of noises that are not filtered as through the phono in and interpreted by mixvibes as slow for- and backward moving timecode. Nevertheless this is not the problem, I can live with this fact of the movement but not with loading tracks or something like that.
Because the turntables should be connected to the phono inputs and not to the line inputs (as written everywhere) I do not post this at the help forum. Is there anybody out there that can tell me something about this or has any solutions? In the future I would like to switch to a bigger audio interface (maybe the fa-66) but if this is a problem because of the connection to line inputs I will stop thinking about this step.

Thanks a lot for any help and for reading this in bad english written text ;)

Greetings mates,

Steve

Hmm....Very Strange

when setting it up did you start the set-up from scratch

1.)....a new install wizard & then go back into vinly options to fine-tune your set-up in thear

2.)...when you have this problem again
can you post a config report so I can see all your setting
(it might be something in your setting that's doing it)

Sorry for by bad explanation or I did not understand what you wanted to say. Here is again my "problem":

Usually you should connect the turntables to the phono inputs. If I do so everything works great - absolutely no problems occur.
If I connect my turntables to the line inputs it works, too. Even after a time an error occurs or not. Sometimes it does, sometimes it does not.
I am totally aware that connecting the turntables to the line inputs is wrong, but I read that if you are using the Producer edition you can connect the turntables to the line input and the software will do the rest. I am not shure but hasn't it been you Uncle that told me that the Producer version does this correction? I am not sure, sorry if I am wrong!!!

I hope, that I explained the "problem" (it is no problem because I know, that I plugged it wrong ;)) better now :)

Thanks again for your time and excuse my bad english.

Greetings,

Steve
