I've tried it, I've tried also deckadance, but finally I choose Cross and the main reason is for the quality of the scratch engine, I do for the most part of my time scratch and also the mix for me is fulfilled of cut, backspin, scratch, and so on...and after a comparison I found in Cross the best quality, very slow drags and hi-speed chirp don't miss a hit, for example deckadence, when slow dragging, sometime it doesn't catch the timecode and skip. In Virtual DJ I don't like the sound of the scratch, seems a little too much digital.

I have (somewhere) a registration of a simple and easy scratch routine made with DVS 6, done five minutes after first installation on a cheap PC, with a crappy audio card but good.

So to conclude and summarize, I choose Cross because of the sound quality and also because is not linked to a particular piece of software. ;)

And you? how is going your experience with Cross le?

Cross LE has no time code detection, so I am not able to judge yet.
Honestly I purchased this sound card u46mk2 cause it said it came with Cross, but only after buying it I found out it is Cross LE that basically is useless to me now.

Try to ask to someone of MV team if there's any upgrade from the Cross LE to the fully operational Cross.
I think that buy Virtual DJ is not so convenient to you, even only for the price that is double than Cross full version....

Hi Mrsuccy,

Funny to find out that there is always someone that has the same question than you at some point ;)
I'm not a gear-pro but i'm always a bit cautious when i buy stuff. As my fellow dj-friends are big music nerds, i've been told that Cross would be better sounding and value for money. That's why I'm on this forum, hehe
Still I have the feeling that my sound could be better. I think my creative soundcard suckssss. Need to ask the mixvibes people about this.
Hope this helps anyways.

your mixvibes software & your laptop is the brain's off your digital D.J set-up.....the sound card is the heart off your set-up

No matter how good your brain is...if you have a bad heart.
its not going to work right

I use a Edirol fa-66 firewire sound card & the ESI u46 DJ USB sound card ( both good sound cards )....
BUT..!!!...there is a big difference in sound qualty between the EDIROL ( very good sound )& the ESI ( just good sound )

So believe I know there will be a big , big , big Differences in sound qualty from a sound card thats made for high qualty audio recording (EDIROL )
than one thats just made for M-Media ( your Sh#tty Creative sound card )

get a good sound card ....it will open your eyes

PS:...Virtual.DJ Sucksss ASS...LOL

U46 + MixVibes software is a great combo. A lot of pro DJs are using it live without any clue: http://mixvibes.com/site/pageeng/page.p ... J%20Troubl

Cross!
1. Its MixVibes
2. U46 mk2 is way better then Numark's soundcard
3. Far more stability and reliability
4. Easy to use
5. Great software if you have better soundcard
6. Unique DJ software that no one else has it on the market!!!!

I personally think that you cannot compare Cross with VDJ coz they are different in almost everything, far better comparison with DVS, but I have used VDJ for 2 years and its like more basic have-fun product not something serious, however MixVibes Cross is, in my opinion, near to Industry Standard product which has great potential, even I love it now, if you know that I adore DVS 7 which, by the way, is best product ever!!!!!!!!
