[tested new latency] VERY IMPORTANT!

Hey bros I have a question for you and please answer coz it is iportant to me! I run my DVS 7 with 256 samples(5 ms) latency from the sound card, but there are other possibilities with much lower latency. I tried every other situation and it runs perfectly, no sound glitches or cracks no nothing. My question for you is, can i freely use the program with much lower latency(64 samples-1.5 ms or 128 samples-3 ms of latency) and do no damage to the sound card (U46 mkII) nor to the program or anything else for that matter. Please tell me this and any other possibility or suggestion coz I'm scratch DJ and latency is important for me, even though I am satisfied with current 256 samples-5 ms of latency.

Ah yes, by the way, I AM SOOOO HAPPY WITH THE NEW UPDATE COZ IT IS SIMPLY PERFECT!!!!

MIXVIBES AND NB FOR A LIFE !!!!

you can run it at the lowest latency possible without causing any damage.

if you can run it at its lowest possible settings without any dropouts and alike then do so.

peace out brother!

regards,
Bryan

In order to gain a precious few ounces of performance, make sure to run your u46mk2 at a sampling rate of 48khz.

how do you get 1.5 ms latency?

i can't get anything under 8-10 ms.. then it starts static distortion
and i'm using newest Cross with FA-101, macbook pro 2.5ghz/4gb ram

Yes 48khz or 48000hz. You can find those settings in the u46 control panel in the menu config, sub menu sample rate. This would be ok if you don't need the third stereo channel because the u46 can sustain only 2 stereo channels when running at 48khz

If the stated 8-10 ms latency is overall system latency, meaning the time code, sound card and system processing, then that's a very good figure. However if you are referring to sound card latency, with the FA 101 running on a computer of with your spec, 1.5 ms latency is easily obtained by running at 64 samples.
