What up from Mile High

Postby Sir Fredrick on 03 Mar 2009, 01:39

I'm Sir Fredrick from Denver, I ordered my DVS 7 the other day and am mad excited to get it going.....It took a long time to decide on what program to get and I finally decided on Mixvibes. I hope it was a good decision. I play hip-hop mostly and I like to scratch, juggle (attempt to anyway) and remix. Anyone who is interested in the same, let me know how it works...Peace!!!

Word, thanks Patch, So far I hear nothing but good things......I notice you use a laptop with the Pentium 4 HT with 1GB of RAM, I was looking at a laptop today with those same specs. How does your laptop perform?? Is your Pentium 4HT 2.8 GHz?

No -it's 3.2GHz. First thing to do is up the ram to 2GB - this made a real difference on my machine. (Must update my Sig!).

You might be alright with that set-up I played for ages with 1GB of ram. 1GB these das ain't much, though...

hey sir fred, welcome to the forums. My recommandation would be to install a Win XP (less RAM greedy) partition on your laptop dedicated to MixVibes. You'll find tutorials aon the forum on how to strip down your Windpows system so it uses the less physical memory possible.
