No its not porn, the Video Nasty is a list of "Banned" film on cassettes too violent for cinema and screening!
The term was coined in the 80s when the Video Recording Act of 1984 was set in motion by the United Kingdom.
Many cried for the Right of Free Speach and Right for Free Expression, but the movies where still cencored, but a problem occured after this. The movies became more popular then ever!
The list consist of movies about rape, sexplotion, nazisplotion, cannibalism, murders, etc. Explict sceens of nudety, death and gore!
Some of the effects where really too far into the future for some people, they acctuly belived they where seeing "snuff movies". Real murders!
One good example of that is the Cannibal Holocaust released in 1980 writen by Gianfranco Clerici and directed by Ruggero Deodato.
The movie is about 4 young people braving the Amazon jungel dubbed the "Emerald Inferno" to find signs or even tribes who still practices cannibalism. They was never to return and after 2 months a second expidition consisting of Harold Monroe and 2 guides was launched. They come accross numbers of savages acts done by the tribes that live in the jungel, one in particular is a women impaled on a pole from between her legs and trough her mouth. And finaly finding the remains of the first crew sendt out to document the tribe.

The movie was confiscated 10 days after its premiere in Milan and Deodato was arrested for murder. Not only charged with the seemingly death of the 4 crew members going into the jungel, but also the impaled women! Deodato had to prove to the courts that they where all still alive; and to make mathers worse, the actors had signed contracts to not apear in any media for a year after the realese to acctuly make the viewers think the where killed!
To aviod life in prison he found the actors and voided the contract. But there was still the question about the impaled girl, and this is where the genius of it all comes into play. She was actully mounted on a bicycle seat with a mouthpiece with the end of the pole creating the almost perfect illusion that she had been scewerd and murderd. The movie has since been re-released with english dubs (the orginal is in italian)
This is an EXTREM movie! Please dont let your kids watch, im 22 and was somewhat disturbed by the reality of it all (there are several scenes that consist of actual slaughter of animals) But its a movie I will strongly recommend watching for those interested.
