AUDIO 4 DJ comes as a full-featured DJ system due to the inclusion of TRAKTOR LE, a compact version of Native Instruments' TRAKTOR software that offers two decks with high-quality time-stretching, an integrated mixer, performance effects, loop and cueing functions, and a powerful track database. All owners of AUDIO 4 DJ can also take advantage of a discounted upgrade to the full-featured TRAKTOR PRO software at any time.

Pricing and availability
AUDIO 4 DJ is available now for a suggested retail price of $249 / 229 € at authorized dealers and in the NI Online Shop.

Seems to be a strong competitor to DVS7 & Cross packs with for the first time with N.I/Traktor an affordable price. But what is Traktor LE? Which are the difference with original Traktor except it's 2 decks only. What are all the limits? Does it control vinyl & cd in this version as DVS7 & Cross?
Technical caracteristics show it's a sound card like FA66 from Roland but cheaper.

i don´t know anything about traktor le but maybe you are right and they just released a cheaper product with this...

there is a big advantage we have with the DVS pack MK2 - since the U46MK2 has 4 IN´s & 6 OUT´s ... i know DJ troubl has this on his wish list and also myself:

..i also know the mv team is aware of this ;)

so having the option to use the MV efx post fader (echo&reverb) with the DVS pack MK2 would be a hard one for any other competitor..!

Ahh yes, the ol' post fader effects discussion. :D

I agree though, it definitely would put MV's features that much higher above everyone else's.

Having one extra more stereo pair output 5/6 on the U46Mk2 is a dope thing. Audio 4 only has 4 in 4 out. The 5/6 on the U46MK2 can be used on other applications such as sampler and fx stuff. Support MixVibes !

The U46 truly is a great Card, with the three stereo outputs putting it at an advantage over serious competition. My biggest concern at the moment is that NI Audio 4 has got Usb 2.0 support which i understand is faster. Does that put it at an advantage over the U46?

THEORETICALLY yes but you also have to consider driver implemention and I don't know how good NI drivers are compared to ESI... that makes a difference with performance. The U46 also IMO has more to offer because of the phantom powered and hi-z preamp so it is more versatile for producing.

U46 series use usb1.1 & is limited to 48 KHZ. (& on this frequency it has only 2 outputs)
With usb 2.0 you can use higher frequencies for your input samples up to a least 96 Khz. But most of mixvibes u46mk2 are used for vinyl cdd time code control with mixvibes & anyway the output signal is still 44.1 khz your mp3 frequency. With the high quality time code you have a good reception of codes at 44.1 khz but its latency will be higher than with a sound card able to use higher frequencies...
