MSI Wind + MV Pro 7 + U46 MK II + ASIO4ALL +VCI : it WORKS !

Hello !
I have installed a new MSI Wind U100 white with MV Pro 7, U46 MK II + Drivers ASIO4ALL + VCI 100 and it works very fine at 256 samples !
I have also done some tests with TC vinyls and it works fine too !
In case you are using an Intel Atom processor, don't use original U46 MK II drivers, they won't work at all ! Use Asio4All instead !

still no firewire... grrr, im just waiting on something like this with native firewire... cant wait, but.. liks like i have too! more chance of the google phone having it, hehe.

Sorry, but I think you won't see any support for firewire in the next machines. Apple have abandoned this kind of connection.

hmm, killin firewire wouldnt be a good idea.. too many devices still rely on it.
i have more firewire devices than usb for a start.. lolol.

I agree with you both. And I don't think they TOTALLY killed firewire. They just don't have it on their entry laptop as far as I know. There are still other notebooks out there that have IEEE 1394 (Firewire) connection which is 4-pin and there are plenty of computer motherboards out there that have Firewire. As far as netbooks are concerned, what has to be questioned is:
1. Will that port make it's way to the netbook?
2. Will it work with your sound card? And if so how well.
