this can be done 2 ways

Mixvibes have a product called Viynl Ripper this can be obtain from

http://mixvibes.com/webshop

or you can also preform the following

you can also use MV itself its not as easy or as good as the viynl ripper but will get you started if your like me and have a big collection it takes time

Go into bypass mode on the relevant turntable
press the red record button on either play 1 or 2
play your record till the end and press the red record button again

once recording is completed press the save button just above the record button,,
recording will then be listed in the media base and saved the mixvibes directory/samples as a WAV files
you can then use the edit tag option in mixvibes and save the ID tag
congrates you just recorded your record

In fact Vinyl Ripper can do more than MixVibes to rip a vinyl record:

Vinyl Ripper features

  • Sound Capture
  • Calibration tool for silence threshold detection before recording tracks
  • Automatic / Manual detection of tracks during recordings
  • Rumble Filter
  • Recording Monitor
  • DSP : Denoiser, Declicker, Normalizer, 44r to 33r
  • DSP Preview
  • Merge 2 following tracks
  • Cut a track in two parts
  • Tags handling with artworks if supported by the output format
  • Output formats : Wav, ogg, flac, aiff, mp3 (using lame), mp3/aac/Apple Lossless (using iTunes)
  • Keep recorded waves option
  • Prepend track numbers if already existing option

The Vinyl Ripper is available for Win32 and Mac OS X (Tiger/Leopard).
