not sure if anyone looked into these yet because they don't ship in the US til October but KORG has released a new series of usb MIDI controllers. A keyboard, drum pad, and control pad respectively. they are all low cost MIDI solutions at 90USD for the keyboard and 110USD for the other pads. i think this is great for the folks that looking to incorporate MIDI controllers into there current setup, and becuase of their size they have a low current draw on the USB bus which is perfect for us who don't power our sound cards with external power supplies. you shouldn't lose any latency due to power issues while using this. i didn't check the fourm rules before posting (i know what nerve :) ) so no links but it you search Korg nanoSERIES you should be able to get pics and all the other important info. cheers

yes but i don't know how use the touch pad, because if it's with effect i think the latency will make problems if it's used in send/return  (like flanger etc).

only time will tell but the latency shouldn't be too bad. i'm hoping we can map the the x and y axis ofthe pad independently (think kaos pad)
