If you can read the crowd you´ll always find the spot for new tunes,
but you also have to put yourself back, i mean after all we´re just service providers....

If you dont take a step towards the crowd, they wont do so either.
personally there´s nothing more uplifting than getting the crowd stoked with tunes they know, drop in something new and see them go crazy just like you are going crazy behind the booth :cool:

so before we go proper offtopic, can we agree on that a DJ should play some classics and some new stuff in a set? ;)



(just in brackets..
as i run two small labels and in my genre, dubstep its common that djs play tons of unreleased/forthcoming tracks -bigger names and real vinyl junkies even play only from dubplates- i like to try out some new bangers on the floor before putting them out or getting back to the producers with a comment on them - and people dont really care if the tunes are good)
