Usually a BSOD can be analyzed with a blue screen of death tool (e.g. from
http://www.nirsoft.net) , which may point out which driver is causing it. I am pretty sure not even the beta test team nor Release Candidate testers ever reported a single, let alone repeating blue screen.
I suppose you did, but make sure you have the most recent updates of W8 installed, especially if you use 8.1.
After installing 8.1 you might need to reinstall soundcard specific software. When I upgrade MS replace some drivers by default MS.
And you might have to verify that no other similar software is running (as service or via program (auto) start up)
Worst case your PC caught a cold when searching for alternatives for Serato; so virus check would be an option.
There is however one thing you can try with Cross and that is renaming the mixvibes.settings file in user\app\roaming\mixvibes (or something like this). Basically it is a step back as you go back to default setting when startup next. If it does not have different behaviour, it like is system related. BTW you can reopen your collection without a problem after this.
