I agree with Kev! What he told, is the "Virtual DJ" effect.
When someone (mostly young dudes wanna DJ, this is going to be the trend), wants to get in DJing, what is the first thing they go download immediatly (illegaly)? Virtual DJ.
That is because they heared it's simple, easy to get one. I started like this to be honest.
Virtual DJ is truly very-very easy to use. But it has great flaws for the "Tweak this motherf***in' SH*T!" type of DJs.
Levels of discomfort:
- First you say: Ok, I think I'll map the keyboard to help.
- Second: Ok, well, I can do more, more hardware, lets get a CONTROLLER!
And this second point is a big step: Anyone who wants it simple, mostly stick with VDJ. But the others who wanna do more, just start looking for something else out there.
I was shocked to learn, that the DVS LE I got for my U-Mix 44, sounded way better than VDJ sounded, and had pretty effects, samples, and other sh*t. Difficult to get used to it, I thought those days... but here I am, Beta testing Cross, and I am damn happy to show off all the VDJ users out there: Put down that toy, and get a REAL tool in your hands!
