No offense. Actually trying to have a DDJSX mapped, NS6 and VCI400 should follow. Can't give any date for that sorry but actually in the work (not finished). Trying to adress your concern with a few other things.

Sorry to be the guy who has to 'pull back on the reins'!! Some of us are just mobile DJ's, doing a few gigs and we need simplicity. As long as there are 'basic modes' we will be happy, but when it gets too complicated, then we'll be stuck. As it is, I'm completely happy with my setup, but when the programs become more geared towards the more 'artistic and technical' DJ's, then I might not feel so comfortable with all the new options. It's all about balance - enough options and effects for the 'cutting edge' DJ's, and the straightforward 'click & play' controls for the guy out there just doing party gigs. It's not always about the competition DJ's, but the working ones too - the ones that play music, not just clever mixes!

right now for me the comfort factor is at its best with version 2.3 ,,,,a mention in another post was the opion that a bare basic Cross for turntablest, would be nice for the scratchers out there ,,futher mention that the pervious versions are avaible in download section,,to use if they better suit your needs ,, i am thinking along your lines kev ,,but the important part is keeping Cross stable and useable in what ever form of d j ing you choose happy to see the progress as long as realibility is not scarficed viewtopic.php?f=360&t=26897

Absolutely right Daniel. Sometimes it's not about the technical capabilities - it's about the solid reliability to do simple tasks. Quite often I'm at a gig and my job is to play music - just that: load track onto A... load track onto B...keep going... Yes, the technical abilities and effects are great, but don't go too far and confuse the basic users! Perhaps you could go down the line that other software producers have done in the past: Mixvibes Cross Home - Casual Users Mixvibes Cross Mobile - For Party DJ's Mixvibes Cross Club DJ - Effects, samples etc Mixvibes Cross Pro - more effects, more samples, remixing , multiple decks Of course, I'd love Mixvibes Cross Karaoke, but I can't see that happening anytime soon!

Thanks Daniel for your comments. A plugin for MP3+G or zipped karaoke files is something I'd willingly pay for. It's the only thing that's stopping me me from using Cross full time. Whilst it's not my favourite program, VDJ plays MP3+G and the zipped versions of them perfectly. Would love that in Cross...

As I see Cross, it will be as it always is. Reliable and as simple as you need it to be. Honestly, if you want simple, nothing beats an iPad using RMT, and your laptop. Reliable and simple, nothing more. However, if you want more, you can do more. And it's still just as reliable.
64 bit had to come. we aren't going backwards, and the sooner a company makes that jump, the less time and money is required for future updates.
Multiple outputs is also a no-brainer, cause they have multiple decks, and it would be silly to keep them as just 2 decks and 2 samplers when they can be a combo of both.
No, everyone doesn't need all the bells and whistles, but when you can make it as simple and as complex as any user needs it, you conquer the markets that the others are already failing in.

It's the graphics part - I'm not even sure how software processes it.
