Cross is better in:

- iTunes integration! Even logical sorting is imported and the whole look & feel

- sound when you're using mastertempo. Compare sounds in the moment you change the pitch or when you're scratching!!!

- CD-Timecode. It is more accurate.

- Automode (afaik). I think there is none in the cheap traktor version. But even Cross DJ has it (wanna go for a pee while working? :D )

- looks of the GUI. Is it looking sexy or what?

- integration of other technology. I think about Pioneer's recordbox. It bases on the same kernel and there will be a raising number of Pioneer DJ's using Mixibes stuff.

- Reliability. (and I checked it) On the same PC MixVibes Cross kept on working with the same tracks all night long when Traktor crashed on some maybe broken music-files (mp3). Cross is made for maximum reliability. When your PC / Mac is fine, Cross is fine, too.

That's what you can tell others when they ask you... and there will be more. Check the upcoming internal fx of Cross. They are AMAZING!
Oh, I almost forgot: Cross works with every MIDI-controller and with almost all HID-controllers (Bi-Directional) and with EVERY soundcard. The better your system is, the better it's to work with it. You allready HAVE a nice soundcard like an RME and do NOT use timecode? Then MixVibes starts at below 70,- euros...! With full list of features. Only without timecode. beat dis...

Can't agree more! I have never tried Traktor, I have always seen it when the top jogs were using it. The only thing they have and what is very important for electronic music DJs is the beat grid and the 4 deck control. According the beat grid I have to say that mixing in Cross with a controller is easy if you have analysed your tracks. So you can move the pitchfader to the right bpm - very exact - and start playing in sync. So the beat grid is ... let's say useless ;) And because DVS has 4 decks I guess that very soon Cross has that 4 decks too ;) So no reason to switch to or buy Traktor.

Greetings,

Steve

P.S.: And don't forget all the points Ralf listed ;)
Viele Grüße,
Cheers,
A plus,
Steve

I prefer the warmfull sound of u46m2 + Cross combo

isure that Ni is very strong on marketing but not impressed by their products

My boss will love this !

Party V I B E S, I couldn't said it better.
And for those that don't believe, just try to move the jog back & forth in Traktor with a common MIDI controler...

yeah... it's what people wanna hear. deep inside they know that Cross is amazing. But they want to get some good and rational reasons to make their brains follow their feelings... here we go.

Well, best greetings to eric... ;)

cheers

Am I the only one who hates the iTunes in Cross, and who is not interested in 4 decks?

Otherwise Cross FTW OFC.

But I keep fingers crossed (pun ?) that in the future versions i can close the integrated iTunes permanently, so I don't have to do it every time I start Cross.

ok, I would love to have 4 decks but... hey, i don't have iTunes... and no iPod... and no iBook and no iPhone... I'm kinda apple-free. So life works without this. But for example DJ DIEGO is absolutely fine with it because he began doing all the sorting before he touched a deejay-proggie. And only Cross gave him all the functions he needed.
But a "don't need iTunes"-button in the preferences might be a nice idea to clearify the GUI another little bit.

cheers

Yes some kind of option for that would be great.

I am completely iFree too, so I can't afford to be seen with a software that has iTunes written somewhere :D
If iTunes goes, then only the restrictions of playlist managing remind me of Apple

<offtopic rant> Damn iCan'tStand the iWhatever naming convention and it becoming ubiquitous by other companies using it too now.. iMean soon iWill be forced to buy iMilk and iEggs from iSupermarket.

to be fair traktor is an amazing offer.
I'm currently shopping for my first DVS system. I DJ in clubs and also mobile (weddings etc) I've got 250quid to spend and it's gonna be between traktor or mixvibes.
I'm gonna lurk around the forums for a bit have a good read about both systems.

Are there any mobile DJ's on here using mixvibes?
