A PM was send by gabba DJ to me as he didn't know threads the best place for support.
Daniel might be right on the situation, but I sent PM to UV to get confirmation it is not a credential issue.

You may try Free, but collections are not backwards compatible between 3.2 and 1.3.x. Not sure if the same locations are used for settings, which might cause opening Free to upgrade the collection database (a backup will work around this).

Soundcard not available/working? Try the 32bit version of Cross (is also installed).

Daniel is right. For the controller your version is the last one. Upgrading to Cross (full) or Cross DJ is recommended if only because of the support for current OS. Updates for Cross are included then.

Meanwhile trying to get your audio routing right likely is feasible. Please reply to Daniels questions.

I checked on Windows panel of control and I was astonished to find out that my laptop does not have a sound card. I play music and videos and I thought there is now way I could do that if I do not have a sound card, but I looks like I was wrong.

I guess I will have to buy one. Could you recommend me a easy-to-set-up sound card ?

Seems a little hard to believe you have no soundcard if you can hear sound. Not having (mini)jack plugs could be but as far as I know is also pretty rar.

If you want a soundcard most important is knowing what you want to do. For most DJing a sc with 4 inputs and 4 outputs is normal (/minimum).

Another thing is budget. If you can afford a controller with build in SC is pretty convenient; with Cross DJ/Full you could use your ion as an additional controller.

See e.g.

Most are available via amazon. Local stores you will have to try, as you country is not visible.
