So, I googled around for a bit and came to the conclusion that some application is accessing the soundcard. Since I'm not running anything besides CrossDJ, it has to be Windows7. But disabling system sounds doesn't help. This is what the U-Mix audio looks like in Windows: http://imgur.com/YvB1vNAThis is what the Realtek Speaker looks like in Windows: http://imgur.com/N1GcAMJCrossDJ does recognize every movement I make with the controller, but I can't load any tracks since it just keeps telling me to check my audio settings. When I do that, I have to restart the controller. I made a short video of it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rNMj6PCbRRcI turn on the controller when you can see 'Plug it in blahblah'

with the controller in the proper audio config (windows not default ) ( dual stero ,set up in Cross ) with the master out 1/2 going to your sound system ,, the cue mix knob on cue ,,and your gain levels at half way are you getting the message cant load tracks /audio usage ,at that point does Cross reconize the MIDI controller ,( by looking in preferences and MIDI tab should have a green online icon in the box)

No, I can't. The Controller is NOT the standard device, it is in dual stereo, the master out 1/2 is connected to my sound system, the cue knob is on cue, my gain levels are set halfway, when I try to load a track it says 'check your audio settings'. I also installed the Volume Panel V1.05 and the firmware update ( U-Mix Control Pro firmware 4.3), while using CrossDJ Version 1.5.4. Yes it is online: http://imgur.com/bebJgMmI can use it to mix when using Realtek setting, but then I can't use a headphone to monitor. (((

How I would ideally want this to work: I get to hear my master signal from my sound system, which is connected directly to the PC, so that I can use my soundsystem for PC stuff and mixing at the same time.In addition to that I would like to monitor the sound via headphones that are connected to the controller. Is such a setup even possible?

are you using Cross ver 1.54 ,,not clear in your explanition of what you would like to accomplish,,if you have a line input on your computer and can play your line input on your sound system from your computer then by connecting the master out from your U-Mix Control Pro to the line input ,,that will work ,,but you will only be able to hear in the headphones what the U-Mix Control Pro recieves from the software Cross , thru output 3/4 hope you understand ,, but lets try to get your controller sc on line and working

Yes I'm using the version that came with my Controller Now I updated to 2.4.0, and now I can't even use my controller in Realtek settings anymore... Still same message of "your device is being used by other applications"... this is really frustrating >:[
