The lack of patience just comes from timing and monetary reasons. If I was to say I didn't want a controller now I'd have to buy it for myself as opposed to getting it as a gift, which I can't really afford to do. That's why if the U-Mix Control Pro 2 did so much more were there any other alternatives that would do similar/offer more than the Pro.

I'm a big Hercules fan. I've got the Hercules 4-Mx which is a mint controller but it's a tab bit out of your price range. Hercules have just released the new RMX 2 http://www.hercules.com/uk/DJ-Music/bdd ... ole-rmx-2/I've just googled it and it's has a RRP of around £280, but the only problem is that it won't be natively supported with Cross yet, so you will have to map it yourself. Me, personally I would wait for the U-Mix Control Pro 2 to be released and see it that suits your needs

Thanks Jim. Neither of those are out of my price range really (after a bit of searching) but I'm not sure they'll give me anything extra that the Pro wouldn't. Would these enable me to use timecode as well? My current thinking is that I will get the Pro, sell my current external mixer and U46, but keep my LDP8. That way, any function the Pro won't do, I can program that LDP8 to handle. I currently have that configured for effects and filter, but I could change this to setting more hot locations and keep the filter. I appreciate everyone telling me to wait, but waiting means getting no controller at all. Someone buying you something as a gift or buying it for yourself is very different!

On the topic of controllers. Is the Cross 2.0 compatible with the Numark Mixdeck Quad? I mean is it or will it be in the near future Plug and Play like it is with the Mixdeck pro. Thanks

It shouldn't be hard to map, I guess it is not too far from the other one.

I guess not, How come Mixvibes didn't think of it. The question is will they add more controllers to the list more specifically the mixdeck quad?
