I don't do video yet, but I had a problem with my screen freezing when I increased my external HD to a 1 tb drive. The CPU was just taking to much time looking for the file. I changed to a 500 GB external and had no problems since. I am running an older machine and I did just order the Vfx controller. Hope you get things straightened out.
