I promise you that all of these have happened to me in my career as a DJ. I'm certain that there's many of you that have experienced the same!

There's 19 BIG NO situations, and to be fair to the public, there's a little YES at the end!

If you've got similar experiences, please share them - I'd love to see the questions you've been asked! :mrgreen:

Would you play track 2 on this compilation cd I've made? - NO!

I'm nervous and I'm not sure I know the song too well, would you sing it with me? - NO!

I want to be a DJ, can I play the next song? - NO!

If I buy you a drink, will you put me at the front of the list - NO!

I love this song! Would you put it on a cd for me/email it to me? - NO!

You're a great DJ, would you do a few disks for my party? - NO!

Can you play my request now, as we're leaving in 5 minutes? - NO!

I missed that last song, can you play it again? - NO!

Can you video me singing this song and send it to me? - NO!

I'm having a house party next week, if I invite you, will you bring your gear? - NO!

Nice setup, wanna sell it? - NO!

Can I bring my guitar/keyboard etc next week and play? - NO!

Would you ask [name] if they will marry [name]? - NO!

I like this song, but have you got the version by... - NO!

Can I have a look on your laptop to see what song's you've got? - NO!

One more song, please, just one more song! - NO!

Can me and my friends dance on the stage? - NO!

My friend fancies you, are you single? - NO!

I want to be a DJ, will you teach me? - NO!


You've done a great job tonight, can I buy you a drink? - OH YES!

Really?

You're going with this? In all honesty, it has the same number of grooves as 7", 10", 12" 16" and most every other size.


FYI: Nearly all of them have 2. ;) and before you start arguing it's only 1 - it's actually 1 per side. :D

Although I have some 10" acetates with only 1, just like the Edison cylinders. ;)
