So I was wondering what else would I need to connect Str8.150's to Traktor or Cross DJ. I plan to put the input of the turntables through my Mixvibes Control Pro first.
I haven't ever used actual vinyl turntables before so I'm not sure what all the requirements are. Maybe I should invest in a larger controller instead? I want to be able to scratch. With the str8.150s or other type of vinyl turn tables, would I be able to use them to scratch any sound clip of my choosing?
Any suggestions / ideas?
Thanks

Hey,
The U-Mix Control Pro has a good sound card and should work with it. The problem is that Cross DJ is MIDI only so if you want to use vinyl control you have to update to Cross. You also need the MixVibes Timecode Vinyls which you can buy at stores where you bought the U-Mix Control Pro.

Christian is correct, CrossDJ has no timecode support, it's just MIDI/Keyboard I'm affraid. You can upgrade to Cross for a special discounted price http://www.mixvibes.com/content/upgrade-cross

Alright, but Traktor has vinyl support right?
Also, any good places to buy the mixvibes timecode box from?

Oh so I don't need to buy anything else besides the turn table? Just make sure the software I use has timecode detection and plug the input from the turntables to the mixvibes? :O

For the timecode vinyls, are there specific ones that I have to use to work together with the mixvibes?

Yes, that's correct. The U-Mix Control Pro has a built in ASIO soundcard/Interface so you can play timecodes through it. Just connect your TT's to the units inputs. djmyungki wrote:For the timecode vinyls, are there specific ones that I have to use to work together with the mixvibes?
Yes. You will need MixVibes own timecodes. No other makes will work
