Vestax Spin with Cross 1.5

I decided to try my Vestax Spin with Cross 1.5 and used the pre-mapping for the Typhoon in 1.5 It worked perfectly! Anyone else using a Spin with 1.5?
Here's my set-up: Unibody Macbook 2.0 Ghz with 2 GB Ram. I'm still using Leopard (5.6).

There seems to be a problem with the Vestax Spin and Cross 1.5
It froze on my while mixing. It happened twice now.

Please try a complete new mapping for your typhoon made by yourself. This might help.

Spin ? never seen this one in our office.
Does it happen when a lot of led come to life ?

I tried to map the Vestax Spin and it actually freezes while I try to map it! I notice that the MIC ON/OFF and REC buttons light up without touching and they don't turn off when I press those buttons.
I tried playing again with the Typhoon mapping and the software froze again within a couple minutes.
Since the Vestax Typhoon and Spin are so similar, couldn't MixVibes provide a map for Spin users?

You should check if the MIDI note's for each command are the same.
You can open the .mapping files with notepad or a mac equivalent.

If the Vestax Spin freezes while I'm trying to map it and won't respond to any commands while I'm trying to map it, how does one map it?
I checked the exact mapping of the Typhoon with what I was trying to do with the Spin by the way but when I tried to input for the Spin, it would freeze or wouldn't register because it was frozen.
I'm not that experienced in the whole mapping thing but if I can't push a knob or a slider and have it register I'm at a bit of a loss as to what to do.
Why don't you try it? Maybe you'll have more success.

To me it seems that your controller ist broken! If you are trying to use it and it freezes after you choose it in the MIDI preferences then I guess that there is something wrong with your unit.

There's nothing wrong with my Vestax Spin! There's nothing wrong with my USB cable! When I use it with Traktor Pro & Djay, it works perfectly! It will also work for a short time with Cross 1.5 when I use the Typhoon mapping but then it will freeze as I've said numerous times.
