Using headset for cuing Issue

Postby Snapperhead on 29 Dec 2010, 19:24

Working with Discover DJ. Running windows 7 Ultimate, sound card is ATI HD audio 5.1, also have Realtek HD and I installed ASIO4ALL V2. Problem is I can make all sound come out headset or speakers but not both. I want to be able to cue up new song from headset without the sound coming out of the speakers until the Cross fade is moved. Any idea how I can acomplish this?

You should be in dual stereo scheme into Cross and route the outputs as wished.

Thanks for the information. Unfortunately I cant seem to get both headphones and speaker to work together. Should I be using ASIO4ALL or Direct Sound? Either one does not produce the results I am looking for. I am using DUAL STEREO and have switched the output 1 & 2 around in every possible combination and I only get sound from earphones or speakers but not both. Please advise what other methods I can try. Thanks

You need asio4all and route in dual stereo mode.
In asio4all only select the needed outputs.

Ok here is the specifics. Using asio4all. Output 1 has HD audio output 1 / HD audio output 2, music plays out of the sepakers. Output 2 has HD audio output using all other options and music only comes out of the speakersa. Their is no other ways to tag the output 1 or 2. What am I doing wrong?

I doubt this will work because usually they're the same outputs.
You need to know what outputs lead to what connector.

Not sure how you hook speakers and headphone in the same output. I have the ability with my software to assign what speaker plays from each output. I getting close to giving up, any hail mary's you can throw?

Ok hooked headphone up in back of desktop. The headphones and speakers play togther but not seperated for cuing. I would think if you click on headphones on the software the sound would just come out of headphones but it comes out of the speakers a little louder than normal. How do I get the headphones to play the music cuing will the speakers play the current song.

Output 1

output 1 -2 selected

Output 2

output 3-4 selected
