Cross questions.....

Hey i just downloaded the Cross demo, and think its great, BUT
Have a couple of questions before i go further, and maybe purchase the software(as i have DVS7 already).

* I cant tell whether the demo is so stripped down of features, that the full version will not run aswell as the demo - It ran cleanly, with no slowdown on a laptop with a 1.4 ghz (It says my laptop will not handle it, as the min specs on mixvibes says it wont).

* Sorta crap that u cant even use control vinyl with the demo - even with the one deck to try the 'scratch' engine out...Very important to me as i scratch a lot - very curious to see how it sounds for scratching compared to DVS7, and to see if it slows down my PC...Has anyone tried the FULL VERSION on a laptop with specs similar to mine (See below for my specs).


Even though i HATE iTunes, The iTunes integration is one of the main features that i need it for, like for playlists (crates system) as my partner and i DJ together so it would make it tons easier than switching between media bases as we do now,as DVS 7 lacks the advanced mediabase organization that Cross seems to have...
The DVS7 playlist system seems to have lots of bugs in it, and frustrates me a lot, so its useless to me....

u can spin 1 record an half hour in that demo version.

and u can use your explorer / collection folder or iTunes.

it's your decision what you use

Hi Rumble - well then i cant seem to get the inputs for my Edirol fa66 to function using the demo, otherwise i would not need to post my message.

*The output works fine, but the inputs are 'not connected' according to the software, even though they are connected....works fine for DVS7 for me, but not for Cross... any suggestions would be great.

Did you click on the inputs to make it active?

I had tried to click on the outputs, but i didn't realize it took a second to change to 'green'. Works great. Thanks heaps for that.
Im very sure i will purchase soon in the future, as the scratch sound is great, and the media database just seems WAY more organized than DVS - even thought ive love DVS and have been using it since 2004
ALSO Ive been using the Cross demo on a 1.4GHZ celeron M w/ 1gig of ram.Works great.
