custom MIDI mixer....need your idears

I'm a engineer by trade...now looking to do a custom MIDI mixer
out of my vci-100

I need you idears....what do you look for in a 2 channel MIDI mixer


looking to make something that works with mixvibes &
To make something to make people go WOW

I'v got some idears...but need more input

ok...this is the plan

take my vci-100...cut it in half , just at the top off the jog-wheels
so I can keep the top half
make a new bottom half for the faders & crossfader
re-move the 8 square vci buttons & put in 8 new arcade buttons
down the bottom
re-move the jogwheels
re-move the old crossfader & put in a pro x fader
put the line faders back in but move them to the out-side's ( as far left & right as I can )
now for the space between the line faders I will put a 8 inch lcd touch screen

this will be cool as I can have my mixvibes decks & the mix window on the mixer & my play list on my laptop

ps.... can someone please run a tape-measure over a korg nano pad controller ( L & W & H in mm )...I wound love to put one in as well

How about adding some external foot contol, leaving you hands free for other things like taking girls phone numbers and drinking beer!

LOL

though on a serious note, foot control for loops and some effects would be cool.
