Cross Linux Version?

Postby mfshva on 11 Mar 2009, 13:20

Hi Guys was mixvibes user for years but with the new itch and Traktor Pro Software i think mixvibes is a little behind from usability and performance .

Now Cross is released and very nice but my problem is why there is no Linux version? (as announced months ago) , Traktor , serato and i think 10 other software Systems are fighting around the Windows and OSX Users , but not only 1 Professional usable Soft for Ubuntu for example. Is there no Market or is it so difficult to port the OSX Version to linux?

Is there any Timeframe for the Linux Version of Cross or is this Port also Dead?

When you search for a Betatester on Ubuntu i will do this if you want , i´m working for Dell in Germany and Linux is now becoming more and more popular as we have now Ubuntu Bundles also the Netbook Market there is a linux marketshare around 20-25% is this not very interessting for Mixvibes? i think 1 big point that linux is not growing faster is that software like mixvibes is missing

Ubuntu is a great Linux OS workin' very well, easy to setup & to update with a nice gui.
I tried it in replacement of Vista, it's much better, uses less cpu & memory ressources, very stable.
Tried with "Wine" a windows clone for Linux, Cross without glitches, DVS without glitches.
I think that the development shouldn't forget the Linux environment. I know they don't!
priority is given to the development of a stable version for mac osx & windows... Then I hope it will be the good time to launch a linux version.
