Aretha Franklin was also an actress, starring in the 1980’s film “The BluesBrothers” which was written by John Landis and Dan Aykroyd who also played the part of Elwood Blues along side John Belushi who played the part of 'Joliet' Jake Blues, aka, “The BluesBrothers”.
Aretha Franklin played the part of “Mrs Murphy”, the wife of a down town cafe owner “Matt 'Guitar' Murphy” who was played by himself “Matt Murphy”, one memorable scene was when Aretha Franklin performed one of her greatest hits “Think” taken from her Aretha Now album in 1968.
