Rekordbox Grids not aligned after import(strightened out)

Postby riquo on 01 Sep 2013, 00:13

Hi there,
Cross 2.5 and Rekordbox 2.0.7 here.

I followed the procedure explained.
Export playlist info from RB and imported into Cross.

After import, the grids in Cross are offset compared to the RB's grids.
The Cue points are instead precise and correspond to the ones stored in the RB's library.

Since the Cue points are all on the downbeats, I don't really understand why Cross is misplacing them.

Am I doing something wrong?
Any hints/work around?
Thanks

thks daniel, i could not find anything helpful on the forum on this issue.

i erased everything and just did a brand new fresh import.

when i load a track in a deck, Cross "analyses" it, and screw up the rekordbox grid, even in easy 4/4 house tracks, where usually no software is wrong! :-))

should i set some preferences in any particular way?

i thought the import from rekordbox would be very straightforrward.
thanks

thanks for the welcome daniel! :)

ok so i downloaded and installed Cross RC 2.6 and imported the same XLM file i had previously unsuccessfully imported into Cross 2.5.

apparently, all the beatgrids are perfectly aligned in Cross RC 2.6!!
:) bingo!

any idea regarding when the 2.6 RC will become an official release?
thanks much

 cant say when the r c ver will be validated ,,,glad to see that this issue has a happy ending  best i can give advice is to use the r c version as a test subject and report anything that doesnt work so that the fianal ver works good ,, that the reason for a r c :!: ,,not shure if you might be able to use the collection created by the r c ver in the 2,5 version,,   remember to allway have back up copies of your data in case of a file corruption,,have seen this when i reverted back to a earlier ver from a 2,3 ver,,lost whole collection,, :surprised: so take caution :!:

Actually I am having this issue as well in 3.3.10.

Some files are ok, but there are some that are imported that are not aligned. And not even the cues are in the right place, everything is shifted.

This file is just a simple 4/4 128 bpm straight song.

Here you have a screenshot of the file in Rekordbox:

Here you have the same file after import in Cross DJ:

This is annoying, but not a major issue, because most files are aligned. But extra verification work in my workflow.

Cheers
