Cue point of connected sound don't move together

Postby Thunderchicken on 04 Dec 2014, 01:05

I have my cue point set up for two tracks, however when I started to play it from the beginning, the second track doesn't play when the first track passed its cue point

I am pure beginner for DJ mixing and I cant even handle a newbie friendly software like this, which make me stressful

I have also tried to buy auto mix features but it ends up drive me into another confusion.

My understanding of the cue is that I should set It up on the second track at its beginning, when the first track reaches its cue, the second track start playing,

I appreciate any tips for me to make my little dream of being amateur DJ come true! Can anyone do that for me?

Hi, welcome to MixVibes,

It works slightly different.

Cue point is the point where you would like to have the track started when loading it to the deck.
When you Play and press Cue it will go to Cue and stop.
When you Play and pres Stutter (if available) it will Cue and Play (restart).

If you want to play 2 tracks you'll have to start the second track manual. When skilled you may do it by hand. When less skilled you can use the Sync button. This will start the track in a synced way. (depending on your setting in preferences it will e.g. be in the same cycle).
The Quantize and Snap functions will help you to start a little more smooth when doing a manual start. This will keep the beat going when starting, but in a smaller period than sync can. Also it will not sync BPM.

When using the Autoplay function the 'next track' will be activated at its Cue point when the previous track is towards the end.. with the auto fade time value determining the real moment it starts.

Please also read the manual to get some more background on the above mentioned terms. It's not that hard but can make your life easier. In Cross open help via the menu for this.
