Collection import from rekordbox, track colors

Postby peterdian on 01 Nov 2014, 15:06

Hello;)

I wonder whether someone can help me, please;) I'm testing the Cross 3.3.3 demo version and considering buying. I've tried to import my collection from rekordbox, everything seems to be OK right now, the only thing that is not importing is track color coding. Is there any way how can I import also track colors into Cross?:)

My steps:
1. Rekordbox -> Export collection to xml
2. Cross -> Import third party database

Thank you very much;)

Hi, Welcome to MixVibes.

I am not sure if colors can be imported.
A workaround could be to group per color in a playlist.
In Cross select all tracks in a playlist and via Info node at the right of the collection you can set color for all selected tracks.
Not as convenient, but pretty easy alternative.

Soundcard not available/working? Try the 32bit version of Cross (is also installed).

Hello Ronald,

Thank you very much for welcome and thank you for the suggestion;)

I don't know, if I understood correctly. You mean to create playlist in rekordbox (red, green, blue, etc...), move tracks according to the color to the playlist, export in xml and then after import in Cross to color all track in playlist according to the playlist name? e.g. Red playlist -> red color?

I'm trying that right now, waiting for import to finish;)

UPDATE: It works this way;) Thank you;) Hope in the future there will be an option to export/import also color coding of tracks in Rekordbox/Cross :)
