In the video you have the headphone in the mixer section enabled for deck B. This means audio as played in the deck B goes to headphone with volume of knobfader called Cue (right top).
Also the master goes out to speakers as the crossfader is not left (or deck fader B down).

The Mix left means the headphone out and the master out are not mixed into the headphone channel (now only head phone signal).

Please let's know if this explains it, or that the video did not express the issue as you have. With the setup as in the video if you played deck A it shouldn't have send headphone out.

Ronald! Nice!

This was it!
This was a noob DJ error on my behalf. It may help other new users to DJ'ing and Cross DJ to add something to illustrate this relationship between Mix knob, fader, and sound card. Many of the tutorials I reviewed on the web simply state that you plug in your card and Cue to hear only in the headphones, and do not explain this process well.
The answer you provided will help many people experiencing the same frustrations- thank you again and great work!

Great it ended up to be working.
Don't hesitate to ask questions before you get frustrated. Cross has many features that you might not recognize at first sight. If only because every program uses it's own terminology.

Enjoy the music :!:
