Thinking about giving Cross a try

Postby Romellow on 23 Jul 2014, 15:35

As the title says,I wanna give Cross a try.
I have a few questions tho.
First off what platform yields the best results with Cross video mac or PC?
Secondly I see that the Denon 3700 are supported but what about the newer 3900 can it be used with Cross?
Finally I currently own a vci-400 that I would like to use in conjunction with the denon units for 4deck controll
I would use the vci to controll the mixer and 2 decks and the denon to controll the other 2 dekcks is this possible ?
By the way I'm currently a VDJ user and not happy with v8 ( on the mac side of things)looking for a stable video platform for mac without hardware limitations and Cross seams to be what I'm looking for.
Thanks in advance

 couple of answers ,,not enuff info for all ,, Cross free ver limited for use to get a feel of the software ,,
,use the fourm for info to certain aspects of your query till experienced user give in put
use win 8.1 and have no problems ,, never fooled around with mac to say yeah or neah ,,just have enuff computer to do the job ,ie vid card able to handel the demand ,
info to the MIDI learn feature will help in mapping your controllers ,, but full knowledge of MIDI commands and there implementation is helpful and also some MIDI monsters out there to help if possible ,,
the vci is mapped and not shure about the newer version of the other controller ,, but mapping is not beyond the realm of possibilities ,, ,,
Cross supports use of more than one controller at a time so the possibilities are only limited to the mappings used/created ..
any by all means any :?: nessary to help your choices ,, feel free to ask ,,
last do not forget too regerster your software when you get it ,, (on the fourm/user control panel/profile/serial # )
and welcome ,
