sound card panel board

Postby Groove Master Cee on 06 Sep 2013, 23:38

i have connected my mixer to the 1/2 input of my u46 soundcard in order to record my mpc 60 in my laptop.for some reason my sound card panel board doesnt show anything, like nothing is connected to the sound card yet.i need to fix the input level through the panel board because the beat doesnt sound clean through the sound card and i cant use it this way for my works.any ideas?

On the from of the what have you set it to? could sound to me that you set it to Phono or maybe the signal from your MPC 60 is set to high.

the 60 is connected to my DJ mixer.then my whole mixer is connected to the u46 sound card from its record output to the input 1/2 of the sound card.i can hear my beat through my laptop speakers so the connection is good.but the sound card panel board doesnt show that upper fader with the level of the input.it's like empty.and unfortuantely this is maybe the way to fix this so i can record my beat clean

It sounds like you are not using ASIO driver.
Your laptop see the u46dj as a WDM audio device

..does the software you are using to record use ASIO drivers ??

What software are you using to record ????

PS..I don't no why you would ever want to set you like you have

When if you use the mpc 60 as a MIDI controller for your dvs7 sampler
Would give you way more power in sequencing / sampling than you have just using the mpc 60 and it will be easier to record & sound cleaner

i'm a hip hop Producer and i make beats for people appart from being a hip hop DJ.the mpc 60 has nothing to do with my usage of mixvibes,i sample straight from real vinyl.the point is that the u46 soundcard from mixvibes is only one i have and i cant afford another right now.people tell me that this might be a problem with the installation of the panel board drivers in my computer.if i remember correctly my mixvibes package is for windows xp and vista but i have windows 7.i hope this is the problem so then i can fix the input level from the panel board and record the beat clean like it is.

The mixvibes u46dj is a good sound card.....so I don't think you need a better sound card...

Why are you using the laptop sound/speakers....
do you have a sound system you can plug the u46dj into....laptop speakers don't sound very good....and when you run the laptop sound card (WMD ) the sound from your laptop speakers and the u46 DJ driver ( ASIO ) at the same time you are asking for problems

What driver are you using ..,..the one that came with the DVS PAC
That's a very old driver....it might just be , you need to update your u46dj ASIO driver

In the download center off the mixvibes forums is a update driver for Window 7 .....u46 DJ v3

You can also try ASIO4all drivers 2.2

i never use my laptop speakers when im working with the 60 nor when im djing.yes i have a soundsystem that does all that job.im using laptop speakers when im about to record my beats into the laptop.in fact there no need to use them cause all the beat making job is done already but i do it just to test that my laptop is reading the 60 so i can record it.are there any easier ways to record my beats from the mpc clean into my laptop so i can have my beats into mpc files and send them to my partners easier?i will try the drivers update though and check out whats goin on.
