Which controller do you use with Cross? Any Recommendations?

Hey all!

Recently switched from Vfx to Cross and the Vfx controller just doesn't seem like a good fit to Cross. I am thinking about something different, but would like suggestions and recommendations on what others out there are using.

- What controller do you use?
- How well does the mapping work with Cross?
- Have you tried more than one controller?
- How do you feel about durability/portability of your current controller.

There is tons of info out there, but it's all a bit overwhelming. I'd be interested to hear input from anyone using Cross and their thoughts on the controllers themselves!

have used control pro and pro 2
the mappings work pretty well ,, but the software is outgrowing the controller
no i havent tried any other controller
durability good in moderate use ,, probly couldnt stand the riggors of a battle mixer ,compact but usable

cant reccomend any controller love my controlpro 2 ,,it fit my needs

I'd start with the list of compatible controllers...

Then I'd look at any controllers that have been mapped by the user community.

From those I'd look for something that fits your budget, workflow, and into your equipment setup.

Keep in mind, if nothing else, you can always try mapping a controller yourself. That's what I did with the M-Audio Xponent. Admittedly, I need to update the controller mapping to handle the new features in 2.4... and at some point I need to map the S4 I have... but that's a pretty rough process because of how it's all set up...

I highly recommend an Xone:K2 or a QuNeo controller. I have been using them for a while, and I use custom mappings that do what I need them to and no more. Now that i'll have a little downtime, I might map them a little better, but they are reliable, and easy to pack around. I have used several controllers, and these are the most functionally portable controllers I have found yet.
