metering for MIDI mixers

Postby djdubc on 29 Apr 2013, 02:21

hey all, is there anyway to add visual metering to any mixers that have the MIDI function? i made the american audio dv2 MIDI mapping, but the meters dont work at all  does anyone here have an idea on how to do that? if not then i would think that would be a great idea for one of the next updates to the DJ software......any input would be great!

Are you familiar with mapping led's in Cross?
If not, it's gonna take some time/patience to get familiar with it. Here are a couple of threads that helped me when i got CrossDJ.

You can map the meters to your mixer if you know the MIDI on/off note/cc values for the led's you want to light up.
The alias to use is "Out fam(Mixer).ChannelAMeter (Normal)" Obviously changing ChannelA to ChannelB & C etc....
Forum member DzsoniB was extremely helpful, as is his mapping utlity. Give it a try, It's actually not too bad once you understand it a bit.
