U-Mix Control Pro and U-Mix Control Pro 2 differences using Cross 2

Postby JAMIELLOYDSTER on 06 Feb 2013, 21:42

Hi All,

I am wondering what the difference is between the U-Mix Control Pro and the pro 2 if u are running Cross 2 software? I am struggling to see the difference and have found a U-Mix Control Pro for a fair bit cheaper shipping with Cross 2. I have read the effects were not great with the first U-Mix but surely that's a software thing? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

  slight hardware changes ,, the pro has avaible 3 times 2 sampler/locator pads where the changes give you 4 times 2 sampler pads/locatores ,, thease are avaible controls by the controller  other than a three led for changing the fx output desigination ,, everthing else is similiar ,
:?: :?: :?: what are your needs for the controller will give you a better chance of chosing the right one , and how much cheeper ,, because the slight differences can be overcomed with keyboard mapping and altered MIDI mappings,
sound card and configuration is the same ,,
also the pro has a slightly different feel in the Cross fader than the pro2 ,, pro 2 feels lighter ,pro feels tighter ,
feel free to ask any :?: :?: ,and there are some postings that give info as to the differences,  as too the efx ,,software yes and that opionis is not a concences ,,but there are thoughts for re vamping the fx ,, :D :D
if your not familiar with Cross try the free version ,,even though limited it will give you a feel for the Cross platform , :!:

Using the search function would have helped you ;)

But:

  not faster  just a oppunity to get long winded
finding some links is a good thing,,

also a side not there is need to use a revised MIDI mapping made by maxron , to use more than 4 sample pads/locators on the pro2 ,,,
   i think i spelled his name wrong,, but i use the mapping

 and no one welcomed him to Cross :!: :!:

Thanks for the replies fellas. It's £50 cheaper, I'm going to have a look at one Saturday morning. I take it they are highly recommended?! Looks like I will have to swap laptops if I buy it looking at the minimum system requirements!

Thanks again
