I gonna buy it anyway but I don't want to wait too long to get that update, in that way Cross is going to be a superpower DJ application...

In Cross 2.3 that has the Release Candidate version out since yesterday, there will be Slip moded Loops, which basicly Loop Roll. The roll effect is good also.

I've tested it in the beta, and seems very nice.

You can map a "Select and Trigger command" which will be usefull to map loops to pads for quick access.
You can also map the Roll FX. If you have a decent house tune, you can mix in and out two songs on one deck using roll.

This is what it says about Cross 2.3:

We are proud to announce the latest Release Candidate version of CrossDJ, CrossDJ 2.3.0.

Here are the main features you will find in this new update:

- Start/Brake time settings for each player, available in general tab of the preference window.

- Loop adjust commands, allowing to change In/Out points using controller's jogs.
