Hey guys, So next upgrade...! Bear in mind that any new speakers I buy going in my spare room so I don't need any overly powerful speakers. I reckon my budget would be £100 - £150. They'd just be plugged into my laptop - I don't have room for an amp unfortunately. I currently use some 7 year old T6100's - http://uk.creative.com/products/product ... duct=15774. The sub-woofer seems to make everything way too muddy and they seem to be losing more and more clarity as they get older. Any suggestions? I've been looking at these - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Harman-Kardon-S ... _pr_sims_t

Ah, I have an adaptor that means I can plug the 7.1 system into 2.1- so that they plug into my laptop. The satellites are just resting along the back of the same long table I have my DJ gear on. But it's a total waste of the 7.1 but I really have no need for surround sound.

want to convert up not down,, the software allows for both ,,down by changing speaker config,,,up by maybe spoke too soon,,looks like that would work for goin up,,but you have too lose the surround effect ,, can plug a external stero source to the front panel line input on sc ,,,just havent figured out how to up convert it to 7.1,,, a mute issue since never went to get the 7.1 speaker set up
