Speaker Suggestions

Postby rhopkins on 08 Oct 2012, 23:05

Hey guys,

So next upgrade...!

Bear in mind that any new speakers I buy going in my spare room so I don't need any overly powerful speakers. I reckon my budget would be £100 - £150. They'd just be plugged into my laptop - I don't have room for an amp unfortunately. I currently use some 7 year old T6100's - http://uk.creative.com/products/product ... duct=15774. The sub-woofer seems to make everything way too muddy and they seem to be losing more and more clarity as they get older.

Any suggestions? I've been looking at these - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Harman-Kardon-S ... _pr_sims_t

Ah, I have an adaptor that means I can plug the 7.1 system into 2.1- so that they plug into my laptop. The satellites are just resting along the back of the same long table I have my DJ gear on. But it's a total waste of the 7.1 but I really have no need for surround sound.

A friend of mine has just brought a pair of these for a small setup he has in his box room

They are excellent monitor speakers, the sound from them is really good. He purchased them from Play

Not bad for £150 ;)
