I've noticed something...

Postby Jim B on 26 Aug 2012, 12:37

Over the recent months I'm noticing more and more DJ's using controllers at there gigs, I mostly do now.

A few years ago when I started using software it was all about timecodes and what program you used.

Now it seem's, it's all about what controller you use....

Totally agree with you and in addition to that in the future it will be all about what custom made controller you are using. There will be the old school guys, as there will always be, but it will change and change and change and change and .... and change and change ...know what I mean? ;)
Viele Grüße,
Cheers,
A plus,
Steve

Funny thing is around here, its seems people are using cdjs w/TC or those Pioneer cdj media players seem to be the go. Not that many people using controllers around where i am, but there are more in the larger cities. Only a few still using TT with TC, which i find a little sad.
Cheers

The deeper you go into the controler market, the more frustrated you are.
In the end you wish to make your own... ;)

Oh yeah. I'm going to.

Look at DJ Moldover's Mojo controllers. He designed them, he made them, he uses them, and he owns with them.

There are MIDI units, such as Brain and Brain 2, that is able to handle everything you want to use.

This is how the MIDI Fighter controller series started: Ean Golden made his first controller, and he thought: Let's make more :D
