U-Mix DJ Set Headphones

Postby CJB on 26 Sep 2011, 23:39

Just wondering what the sound quality and isolation is like on the headphones included in the U-Mix DJ Set?

The earpads have gone on my Sony MDR-V700DJ's and I'm thinking of picking up a set of the Mixvibes headphones to use as the backup pair to my Sennheiser HD25's, rather than replacing the pads on the Sony's (which have taken a bit of a hammering, although they might be the only pair ever not to have the joints break on them!).

I used them on the Mixvibes stand at BPM, and they were good enough for me not to get mine out (SONY MDR-V700 as well)

The quality was good I think, but I have got a bit of tinitus :( from too many years wearing headphones, head in bass bin etc.... and the isolation was good enough to block out the noisy neighbours on the RELOOP stand

Depending what they cost, could be a good buy

Coincidence! I wanted to post about it, since I have my MixVibes Headphones since thuesday:)

I really like them. The sound is very clear, even If you run it on full from a mixer. Very loud. It has a very nince and clear bass, which I'm pretty surprised. All-in-all I like it:)

The headphones also come with a black bag in the pack, so you don't have to get one.
(And there are also some nice keyboard stickers in the pack:D )

Headphone Tech. Specs:
driver diameter: 50mm
Impedance: 32ohm
Freq. Response: 20-20kHz
Sensitivity (S.P.L): 105dB +- 3dB (at 1 kHz)
Plugs: 1/8" Jack, with 1/4 jack THREADED adapter (very nice adapter)
cord lenght: twisted cable - 2.2m
Net Weight: aprox. 335g

On MusicMesse it was not that loud, but for me that was the first time put on those phones, and since then I wanted one:D
