Big Problem with Cross and Audio 8 Mp3s are Speed up

Postby Poertsch on 27 May 2011, 23:28

Hallo everybody. First I want to say that I am here as an Beta Tester and I start testing to day Cross 1.5.4 and the new Beta.

So now my Problem is that i was installed Cross and the Audio 8 Driver. Also i was testing the U-Mix Control 2. So after my Soundcard was installed and I load a Song in the Deck and press Play the Song will be played like Miky Mouse Style. I was shocked because it was so fast. I have now idea what is the Problem. It not can be that my Audio 8 is not compatible to Cross. If so what can i do. I was planed to spin next week with Cross in the Club. But now i will not touch it.

Need you help in this point

Thanks so Much Poertsch

As followed i was installed Croos then i was installed Audio 8. So now i want to use the new U-Mix Controller 2. I was checking the MIDI Window and there i was seen something what i will not understand. My Audio 8 will be displayed as the U-Mix Controller 2 Pro with the green Online Symbol. How it comes.
I have only the U-Mix Controler.
So i have no Idea what is here the problem. Why the Soundcard will speed up my Songs.
I was testing first only the Controller function. Because when i don't want to use Vinyl i only want to play with the Controler. But if i install my Audio 8 the songs are all in Miky Mouse Style. I was not testing it that i was installed with the Turntables. But this cant be the solution because it must work also only with my Controller and my Audio 8 Soundcard without Turntables.

This is frustrated now ...

Suggested to switch to 48kHz by PM. Also gave different other hints.

@Poertsch: Benutze diesen Thread weiter, hier helfen dir mehr als wenn du mich alleine per PM kontaktierst ;)

Same thing happened to mi with the U-Mix 44 soundcard, when I set the wrong sample frequency. So az previously said try the 48kHZ if Audio 8 is for that sample rate.

Hallo Everxbody. I was killing my system. I changed my System also from Windows XP to 7. After the System was installed I start the Audio 8 Driver and then Mixvibes Cross. And hock up the U-Mix Controller 2 and now everything is working. I tested in point of a Stand alone Controller also incl with the Timcode Vinyl. It it seems that it works. I disable ACPI, set Energy Mode to Max and all the necessary Options that Mixvibes will work fine. I will test later also on my System what will we used in the Club. Because there is nothing on as Mixvibes DVS7 Audio 8 and thats it. Also there I had yesterday the Micky Mouse Effect and there i was changed already the sample rate to 48000. Butt Mikey Mouse was still on. so i start another test today to see whats happens there.

I will give you information here

Thanks Poertsch

Well maybe change the sample rate back to 44.1 kHz.

And one more tip for stability:
Go to Control Panel\System and Security\System\ and find "Advanced System Settings" !
Then click on the Advanced tab, and at Performance, click Settings. In this also click on the Advanced tab, and change the processor sceduling to Bacgroung services (This will include the sound buffer and the driver, so it will result in more stable (and better quality) sound, and the controller will be faster with less latency;)

Thanks to everybody. I was installed today again. Simula to my Laptop back Up. Also i was changed to 48000 in Cross self and now it works also on my main Laptop. Sometimes clearing problems are closer then you recognized. I hope it will work now. Before i will take it to the Club on Wednesday i will make same Mix sessions at home to see how stable it is.

Thanks Steve for " crossing Fingers "
